This course introduces students to the fundamentals of book design and printing technology. Students will learn about book anatomy, layout principles, typography, image integration, and basic binding techniques. Emphasis is placed on audience-centered design, effective visual communication, and hands-on experimentation with materials. Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: - Design comprehensive book layouts, including covers, interior pages, and structural elements. - Select and apply appropriate typefaces, sizes, and visual elements to enhance readability and engagement. - Integrate illustrations and hands-on application of materials effectively within book layouts. - Demonstrate proficiency in basic bookbinding techniques. - Adapt design choices to suit specific audiences and contexts.

1. Class attendance is strongly encouraged. Attend at least 80% of class hours in order to be accepted to the final examination 2. Actively participate in class activities 3. Fulfill tasks given by instructor after class 4. Use their own laptop in class only for learning purpose 5. Read the textbook in advance 6. Access the course website (https://flm.fpt.edu.vn/) for up-to-date information and material of the course. 7. Complete course's Portfolio with full contents of exercises and submlit to the teacher 01 day after the course.
