This unit will help students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and evaluate the key factors involved in making sound credit and lending decisions and to restructure credit proposals to meet the needs of both the borrower and lender. The unit includes the application of these principles to a series of practical lending situations: corporate customers, lending to small business… Throughout the unit, case studies are used to illustrate and develop the concepts and principles covered and to develop the students' credit appraisal skills. Case studies also figure prominently in the assessment for the unit.
