The course demonstrates in-depth understanding of the circuit theory techniques for analysing resistive circuits and sinusoidal circuits. Furthermore, it introduces techniques for analysing the complete responses of RL, RC and RLC circuits. Finally, the powerful analytical technique based on the Laplace transform and a brief concept of frequency response are presented. During the course, Multisim, the supporting software for circuit analysis is also illustrated appropriately. Topic covered: Circuit variable; Circuit elements; Simple resistive circuits; Techniques of circuit analysis; Inductance, Capacitance, and Mutual Inductancel; Response of first-order RL adn RC circuits; Natural and step responses of RLC circuits; Sinusoidal steady-state analysis; Introduction to the Laplace Transform and Introduction to frequency selective circuits.
