The course provide students with solid background on the concepts and techniques of computer graphics: Raster Algorithms, Signal Processing, Viewing, Surface techniques, Ray Tracing, Texture Mapping, Data Structures for Graphics, Sampling, Curves, Computer Animation, Graphics Hardware, Light, Color, Visual Perception, Tone Reproduction, Global Illumination, Reflection Models, Image-Based Rendering, Visualization. One third of the contact time devoted for practicing on computer to master these techniques. This course give mathematical foundations of computer graphics with a focus on geometric intuition, allows the programmer to understand and apply those foundations to the development of efficient code.
