This course equips students with a comprehensive understanding of digital circuits, beginning with foundational topics such as number systems, logic gates, Boolean algebra, and logic expression simplification. It progresses to the design and implementation of logic circuits, including combinational and sequential circuits, shift registers, counters, and data storage elements. The module also introduces hardware description languages (VHDL, FPGA) and basic concepts in signal and data processing. Additionally, the course emphasizes professional ethics, social responsibility, and the development of creative thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on assignments and laboratory experiments.
