This course is designed to build and develop foundational translation skills for 3rd-year English majors, equipping students to confidently translate between English and Vietnamese in both directions. I Students are expected to acquire and apply basic knowledge of theoretical aspects covering from translation methods, translating process, equivalence, and cultural issues... in their translation. By applying the basic theoretical knowledge, students are expected to be able to efficiently handle compiled jobs in a classroom hypothetical environment, maintain and develop basic English language skills in accordance with translation of 4 main types of texts (C1 standard) including: narrative texts,descriptiom texts, discussion texts, and dialogues. In response to the evolving demands of the language services industry, the course integrates the use of AI-based translation tools to help students become proficient in AI-assisted translation and post-editing.
