Mô tả
Based on the study results of English language and specialized subjects in the previous semesters, students shall complete a Graduation thesis with the content and format appropriate to the research area to meet all course requirements. Thus, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills in scientific research and are able to present a research paper in English. For each student, the Graduation thesis is the capstone project of their undergraduate program. Through the Graduation thesis, students are equipped with the skills of finding a topic and persistently surveying, researching, and pursuing that topic, as well as practicing writing skills to present their arguments in a logical way. Thus, they can pursue self-learning even after graduation and nurture the capability for expressing their own thoughts and ideas. The Graduation thesis is conducted in GROUPS including 04 students (in case the students cannot be divided evenly, there can be a group of 3 or 5 students) The instruction on the Graduation thesis is organized in two ways: in-class and in separate groups. The in-class instruction is conducted in the first week with the content regarding the rules, regulations, and things to be noticed during the process of writing the Graduation thesis. From week 2 onwards, the groups shall meet with the Thesis supervisor separately to discuss more in-depth about the group's topic. The discussion with the Thesis supervisor can take place in many different forms appropriate to the availability of the supervisor and the students (meeting in class, online discussion, and email etc.). Thesis topic: the students can choose their topic in one of the following directions: (1) Specialized English (2) English in IT (3) English in Economics and Trade (4) Issues in applied linguistics (5) Issues in English language teaching and learning
