Objectives: The course is designed to help undergraduate students enhance their business communication via authentic and various written forms such as emails, cover letters, and CVs. With practical tips and detailed guidelines, students will be able to write more effectively and appropriately in business contexts, assuring success in delivering key messages. Description ENB101 addresses a wide-ranging spectrum of business communication with the straightforward seven-step method. These easy-to-follow steps save students time from start to finish, and helpful checklists will boost their confidence in business writing. Students will learn to promote themselves and their ideas clearly and concisely―whether putting together a persuasive project proposal or dealing with daily email. The course also provides comprehensive examples for all the most popular forms of communication, including slide presentations, résumés, cover letters, web copy, and a thorough guide to the art of crafting e-mails and instant messages. Insightful sidebars from experts in various fields demystify the skills of self-editing, creating content, and overcoming writer’s block, and the author’s reference-ready resources on style, punctuation, and grammar will keep students' writing error-free. Teaching Methods: The teaching & learning process includes a variety of methods: From teachers’ side: lectures, guided learning, feedback and corrections; From students’ side: discussions, reading, research, writing and self-study.
