SKILLFUL 4 - LISTENING & SPEAKING 1

Listening: Students can listen to understand a speaker’s main ideas, points, and intentions. Students also listen to know strategies needed in academic situations such as listening for summaries, for note taking, for supporting statements… Students also listen to handle the information they hear by using such strategies as understanding cause and effect, event sequences, recognizing definitions, predicting, interpreting speaker’s attitude. Speaking: Students know how to express what they think and/or feel, and how to make themselves well understood by handling issues related to techniques or strategies used in daily speaking encounters. Students are also able to use pronunciation strategies to express correctly what they want to say in everyday speaking situations. Students also know how to speak correctly what is related to academic issues such as presentations, debates and self- introductions.
