Objectives: The course is designed to help students develop skills of critical reading, thinking and writing in various academic topics. Through interacting actively with texts of different kinds, students will be able to read, think and write better, at an upper-intermediate level. Description Read, Think & Write 1 focuses on reading and writing in one course to help students read from a writer's viewpoint and write with a reader in mind. It is also designed to provide a systematic introduction to and an in-depth analysis of how to integrate reading and writing skills. The course provides a cohesive instructional framework to accelerate college readiness through unique resources. Teaching Methods: The teaching process includes a variety of methods, from teachers’ side: lectures, guided learning, feedback and corrections and from students’ side: discussions, idea brainstorming and writing and self-study. Assessment scheme: 1) Assessment - Assignments 04*15% 60% - Final Exam 01*40%. 40% 2) Final Result 100% 3) Completion Criteria: a) On-going assessment >0, Each component >0; Final exam >= 4 b) Final Result >=5
