Objectives: The course is designed to help students develop skills of critical reading, thinking and writing in various academic topics. Through completing a number of authentic projects of reading and writing and through teacher’s guide as well as feedback, students will be able to further their skills, at an advanced level. Description Read, Think and Write 2 focuses on reading and writing in one course to help students read from a writer's viewpoint and write with a reader in mind. It is also designed to engage students in real-world, college-level projects to gain the literacy skills they need to succeed. The course provides detailed knowledge and practice of using sources effectively, avoiding plagiarism as well as writing well-crafted sentences. Teaching Methods: The teaching process includes a variety of methods, from teachers’ side: lectures, guided learning, feedback and corrections and from students’ side: discussions, idea brainstorming and writing, peer corrections and self-corrections. Assessment scheme: 1) On-going assessment - Projects 02 55% - Peer corrections 02*5%. 10% Final exam 01 35% 2) Final Result 100% 4) Completion Criteria: a) On-going assessment >0, Each component >0 b) Final Result >=5
