Objectives: The course is designed to help students have the essential foundation of stones of language assessment with ample practical examples to illustrate application in language. Students will be able to develop assessment literacy by understanding, addressing issues and applying concepts. Description: The course introduces students to fundamental principles and tools for language assessment. Concepts are presented with practical, understandable explanations and concise references to supportive research. Students are able to recognize different forms of testing and assessment and are equipped to design and evaluate practical, effective assessment techniques to apply them to classroom contexts. Teaching Methods: The teaching process includes various methods: - Lecture the lessons and exercises varied from individuals, pair or group work, whole-class discussion. - Guide students' learning with research, self-study with feedback. - Have interactive discussions of questions and issues that may arise during lessons. - Manage group work and enhance their interests in testing and assessments throughout the course.
