- Introduction to FPGA, comparison of FPGA with other technologies such as microcontrollers and ASICs, FPGA programming languages: Verilog and VHDL, and common applications of FPGA. - Approach models and terms such as: entity, architecture, process statements, behavioral modeling, sequential processing, parallel processing... - Explore and utilize FPGA programming instructions: libraries, entity descriptions, architecture descriptions, data objects, data types, data conversion, operators, data attributes, signal attributes, subprograms and packages, sequential processing instructions, parallel processing instructions... - Use hardware and software tools to execute the design process: testing (testbench), synthesis, place and route, run simulation, waveform analysis, debugging... - Execute design projects such as: combinational logic circuits, flip-flop, counters, registers, shifters, shift registers, encoding and decoding, demultiplexers and multiplexers, memory, state machine, communication...
