Main objectives: 'As a course within the Media and Communication curriculum, the Capstone Project is comprehensive, allowing students to apply the combined knowledge acquired from earlier courses and projects to the production of more fully-realized work. The main objectives of the course are to: - Exhibit an advanced understanding of the relationship between media and communication; - Exhibit an advanced understanding of the theories of humanities and social science; - Create a self-project as a media and communication professional; - Develop personal/ team work on a professional level of quality; - Construct professional media and communication practices; - Demonstrate proficiency in communication, presentation, and the necessary skills for professional practice, such as the capacity to organise and manage projects as well as collaborate effectively with others. This competency requires knowledge of organisational structures and work patterns in the fields of economics, media, and communication. Description: - This course requires real-work projects completed by a group of 3-5 students, each student must defend their contribution to the group project individually in front of a professional committee/examination board. - Students are strongly encouraged to form groups and actively seek their supervisor(s), who will provide the necessary guidance as they develop their projects from initial concepts or ideas to completion. - By the completion, students are expected to acquire a comprehensive understanding and skills in the field of media and communication. The project consists of four (04) main phases: (1) Research and development, (2) Pre-implementation/Pre-production, (3) Implementation/production, (4) Post-implementation/post-production, distribution (if applicable), and evaluation Students are required to participate in and deliver progress reports to the department's professional committee at the CP Proposal completion stage. Students are expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism when discussing, organising, presenting, and critiquing their work, as well as when implementing research strategies that contribute to the completion of the project in response to constructive feedback from supervisor(s) and professional committees. Completion Criteria: - Progress on Project (04 reports): 40% - Final report/Production Book: 10% - Project Defense: 50% Overall Final Project Mark: 100% Mark of each report must be >= 4/10 Final Report/Production Book >= 4/10 Oral Project Defense >= 5/10 Final Report/Production Book must be submitted before deadline

Nhiệm vụ sinh viên
(1) read and understand rightly all relevant documents for the CPs published on FLM (such as guidelines, requirements, and regulations, etc.); (2) Participate in the Orientation meeting conducted by the Department (3) Choose topics for Capstone Projects so that the topics fall within the concentrations, and fully meet the requirements of common research ethics, law, fine customs and traditional values in Vietnam; an approval from supervisor(s) and the University may be required. (3) Divide and schedule work for each member of group approximatelly based on supervisor(s)' advise and the CP Guidelines and Syllabus; (4) Students are required to attend at least 80% of scheduled meetings with their supervisor(s) to be eligible for the thesis or capstone defense; (5) Conduct research, produce documents and media products, and write reports (in English) according to the CPs requirements from the University and the Department; preference the Guideline for details. (6) Avoiding Plagiarism and Copyright Infringement in all reports and media productions; (7) Defense individually the CPs in front of examination Committees according to the requirements and regulations of the University and the Department.
