I. Course Implementation Orientation Requirements: This course belongs to the specialized knowledge block, taken after students have completed the Japanese language knowledge block and have acquired the core knowledge of Japanese grammar (JIG301) … and supplementary knowledge for the major (Japanese Country and Culture (JSC301), Communication in the Japanese Workplace (JPB301)), … preparing students to accumulate knowledge and meet the requirements for writing the Graduation Thesis/Project. II. Course Objectives: Consolidate and enhance practical language skills through the provision of vocabulary and expressions in the field of literature; Provide basic and foundational knowledge of Japanese literature; help students explore distinctive features, achievements, and the beauty of Japan through literature. Furthermore, by comparing and contrasting similarities and differences with Vietnamese literature, students will gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese literature, and have reference material to develop projects or theses related to literature; Help students practice self-study skills, searching for relevant materials, synthesizing and presenting them to convey and share information; strengthen teamwork spirit, supporting each other to improve together. Course Implementation Format: The course runs for 10 weeks, with 3 slots per week, implemented in the following forms: The instructor delivers integrative, introductory lectures to present key themes and the fundamental contents of Japanese literature, serving as a foundation for students to further study through reading the textbook and expanding knowledge; Students are divided into groups to explore in-depth characteristics of representative genres/forms of Japanese literature (with possible comparisons to Vietnamese literature), choose and analyze representative works corresponding to the genre/form (midterm report) and literary periods (final report), conduct further research, and present findings in class; Select representative works from certain schools of the Modern–Contemporary literary period, divide them into sections for small groups to read together and organize classroom games. The lecture content consists of three parts: (1) Elements of the country, people, culture, writing system, and language that contributed to shaping and creating the distinctive features of Japanese literature; (2) Literary genres/forms of Japanese literature and representative works of these genres/forms; (3) History of Japanese literature (in relation to the historical development of Japan): periods/stages, genres, authors, and representative works of each period. Nhiệm vụ sinh viên

Students must attend at least 80% of in-class hours to be eligible for the final exam. Actively participate in discussions and exchanges on topics presented in each lecture. Engage in group work and complete assigned tasks effectively, contributing ideas and information to help the group fulfill its objectives. Prepare lessons and complete assigned exercises seriously and carefully.
