I. Course Implementation Orientation Requirements（科目の実施オリエンテーションの用件）: Study the basic knowledge of Japanese phonetics and vocabulary to improve Japanese language proficiency. Build a foundation useful for future self-study and research activities. II. Course Objectives（主題の目的）: Phonetics: Learn basic knowledge about Japanese phonetics and aim to achieve natural pronunciation. In particular, through repeated practice of rhythm, accent, and prosody, aim to be able to check on your own whether you are pronouncing correctly. Vocabulary: Learn the basic knowledge of lexical theory while refining lexical sensitivity and enriching vocabulary. Through data analysis, develop the ability to objectively analyze how words are chosen depending on the situation and interlocutor.

Learning hours (150h) 45 hours of classes (60 sessions) + 105 hours of self-study

・Attendance rate of 80% or higher. ・Conduct research and discussions on issues taken up by the group. ・Present the results of the research. ・Review lectures.
