I. Implementation-Oriented Requirements of the Course: The course belongs to the specialized knowledge block. After students have completed the foundational knowledge courses of the major, finished language skills courses, and reached an intermediate level of Japanese, at this stage, with the guidance of instructors, students are able to use Japanese to read and reference Japanese materials and approach theoretical knowledge in the field. This course contributes to helping students meet the requirements of this level of study. II. Course Objectives: (1) Help students grasp basic knowledge of Japanese grammar from a theoretical perspective, recognizing the typological differences of Japanese compared to Vietnamese as reflected through these grammatical features. (2) Equip students with knowledge and skills to identify word classes, sentence types, and sentence components in Japanese grammar. (3) help students understand and apply grammatical categories in Japanese (Mood, Tense, Voice, Aspect, etc.), thereby supporting the study of related subjects such as translation, interpretation, and text analysis. (4) Provide additional vocabulary, kanji, specialized terminology, and expressions related to general grammar, particularly those related to Japanese grammar. (5) Prepare foundational knowledge and reference topics for proceeding to a graduation thesis or further research at higher academic levels. III. Course Implementation Format: The course lasts 10 weeks, with 2 slots per week, combining in-class lessons and homework. Specifically: (*) In Class: ・The instructor presents key concepts, definitions, and characteristic features of grammatical units. ・Assign short exercises for students to discuss and complete in class to reinforce and confirm knowledge. ・Review exercises and conduct in-depth discussions to help students consolidate their understanding. ・Organize assessment through small tests or presentations by student groups. (*) At Home: ・Assign longer, comprehensive exercises requiring students to research and prepare for in-class discussions and clarifications. ・Assign specific topics for students to research in groups and prepare presentations.

Study Time (150h) Including 45h in class (60 sessions) + 105h self-study

Nhiệm vụ sinh viên

・Attend at least 80% of in-class hours (to qualify for the final exam). ・Actively participate in speaking, exchanging ideas, discussions, and collaboratively building the lessons. ・Actively take notes and synthesize information in their own way. ・Prepare lessons (pre-read slides, textbook), complete assigned exercises seriously, carefully, and fully.
