This course provides an introduction to the fundamental techniques and principles needed for working with audio devices (microphones, mixers, etc.) and audio-editing applications such as Adobe Audition. Students will learn how to record audio, perform voice-over, create foley, and edit and mix sound for various media formats, including short films, animated films, TVCs, and viral videos. As a multimedia course, students will develop an understanding of sound aesthetics, musicality, vocal performance, and critical listening. Through regular listening exercises and class critiques, students will enhance their ability to analyze and evaluate sound in different media products. The course also introduces students to AI tools that support audio processing and voice simulation (text-to-speech), helping them optimize their workflow during production. Objective: Upon completing this course, students will be able to create soundtracks for movies, TVCs, animated films, and other media products, and effectively use AI tools such as text-to-speech engines and Adobe Audition’s AI-powered features.
